The main beaches of the Lagos Region are in the cities of Búzios, Arraial do Cabo and Cabo Frio. And for you to go straight to your favorite, we prepared a special post with details on the best beaches of the three cities. Arraial do Cabo is famous for the multicolored sea, for being an excellent diving point and having some of the most beautiful landscapes of the Lake Region. Búzios enchants the charm of the inns, good gastronomy, lively nightlife and that eternal air of glamor, reminiscent of the times in which the actress Brigitte Bardot made the city known in France. Cabo Frio attracts the infrastructure and the long strips of fine white sand, full of dunes. Find out what your favorite beach is and enjoy the sunshine in the Lakes Region!
Beaches in Arraial do Cabo
Water with different tones, as if it were the Caribbean Sea, has attracted more and more tourists to Arraial do Cabo. The city is very small and until recently it was known only for the boat trips to Praia do Farol. However, the “discovery” of Arraial by tourists from all over Brazil is changing the face of the city, which is no longer just a round trip to become the main destination of those who visit the Lake District.
Although it does not offer as many inns as Búzios and as much commerce as developed as Cabo Frio, Arraial do Cabo certainly has the most impressive beaches of the Lagos Region. Impossible not to get excited when you reach the top of the staircase that leads to the Pratal do Pontal do Atalaia and come across so many shades of sea. It is place to enjoy nature intensely and beaches still very preserved. Not to mention that Arraial do Cabo is one of the best diving destinations in the country, a fact explained especially by the resurgence phenomenon, which brings to the surface deep, cold and food-rich waters. It is not uncommon to see in the Arraial Sea dolphins, stingrays, turtles and even killer whales. A must-see! Besides diving, be sure to take the boat trip to Praia do Farol! This is the only way to get to the beach known for being one of the most beautiful in the country.

Exactly because it is so eclectic, Búzios usually pleases all travelers.
With a drive around the city – the peninsula is only 8 km long – you can choose your favorite sand and enjoy each of them calmly. And best of all is knowing that the beaches of Búzios are easily accessible. No need for long trails, boats or complex shifts. All right! Anyone who wishes can take a trip of schooner, trawler, boat or even a course of trolley to know all the main options of beaches. The important thing is to be sure that sunny days in Buzios will be wonderful, especially as the city also offers excellent gastronomy, bustling nightlife and good shopping options, especially on the famous Rua das Pedras.
Beaches of Cabo Frio
Cabo Frio is the largest city in the Lagos Region. Although it is no longer a small town, Cabo Frio still offers beautiful sandy beaches to enjoy sunny days, starting with the busiest of them, Praia do Forte. The logic of the high season gets even stronger in Cabo Frio, which is crowded into extended holidays and school holidays. Although it is no longer easy to enjoy almost deserted beaches, Cabo Frio is still a good point of support for those who want to explore the entire Lake Region.

The sea of Copacabana provides surfing and bodyboarding. But sand sports such as football, volleyball, and coolball are also played here. Here are a lot of foreign executives, since the concentration of international-class hotels and restaurants for all palates is quite large. It has also become famous due to the grandiose fireworks display in New Year’s Eve, which attracts both international tourists to the seaside hotels as well as to the ships that anchor not to miss the lights show.

The sea is very integrated with the day to day life of Miami.
